We are very excited to have Honorary Chairs, Sheila and Bob Kennedy for the 10 Annual Indiana Youth Group Art Auction. Our theme is Reflections: Past, Present and Future of our LGBT Youth. We are holding the event at a new venue, Wheeler Art Community Center in historic Fountain Square. This year’s event promises an evening packed with live musical entertainment, our favorite artists, auctioneers and friends.

Early Bird Tickets: VIP $40 and General Admission $15.
NOTE: Early Bird tickets must be purchased by March 5, 2010. Door prices are VIP $45 and General Admission $20.

For the first time, the art auction committee has designed a way to include sponsors for the event. The information below outlines the three levels of sponsorship and the benefits that each level provides. To sponsor the event, the attached Sponsor form should be completed (for tax purposes). Art Donations

Donations of artwork in delivered in multiple mediums are the key to IYG’s Art Auction success. Donations are collected from Artists, Celebrities and Art enthusiasts. IYG will proudly display the Artist’s or Gallery’s business cards. In addition, as our thank you, the Artists are given a complementary General Admission event ticket.

To donate, please complete the Art Donation form (for tax purposes). Please contact us directly via email: ArtAuction@indianayouthgroup.org to arrange pick up or delivery of the art piece(s). Please attach any additional written materials, business cards, small flyers, etc. describing your contribution, which will enable us to present your donation to its best advantage.

Business Donations

Donations are appreciated from businesses no matter how big or small. IYG realizes the current market plays hard on the P&Ls for all business owners. A donation of good or services can be used by the Art Auction event in a variety of ways. Gift baskets are assembled including event tickets, products, services, etc. IYG will proudly display Business cards at the event. In addition, as our thank you, a complementary General Admission event ticket is provided.

About Indiana Youth Group

Indiana Youth Group (IYG) serves young people from ages 12 to 21 who self-identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or questioning and their allied friends.

For Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) youth, the normal stress of adolescence can be heightened by the pressures that often accompany the internal awareness of being different. Social stigma, rejection, and bullying are often experienced by LGBT youth. It is no surprise that compared to their heterosexual peers, LGBT youth tend to experience a higher incidence of isolation, depression, suicide, and homelessness.

IYGs activity center offers a supportive environment that allows the youth to build self-confidence, explore individualism, and develop friendships within a community that values fairness, acceptance, respect for diversity, and equality.

Since 1987, the Indiana Youth Group has been a positive force impacting thousands of LGBT youth. Our Board, staff, and volunteers continue to energetically fulfill IYGs mission.

Provide a safe place, a confidential environment and services which foster self-esteem, resiliency, and positive decision-making skills among self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender young people, and to advocate on their behalf in schools, on the streets, and in the community.

Incorporated as a 501-C-3 organization, approximately one third of IYGs annual budget comes from foundation and governmental grants, one third from special events (LGBT film festival, annual dinner, and the IYG art auction), and one third from donations from local organizations and individuals.
