Tuesday, January 24 | 6:30pm - 8:00pm

 Monthly Meet-Ups:
The POP Monthly Meet-Up is for parents and other adults in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth. Attendees are encouraged to discuss thoughts and feelings around specific subjects, and thus, receive peer support between families. Current research and knowledge of the subject will be presented by the group facilitator.
The objective is to bring education and support to the adults participating.

For more than 25 years IYG has been an amazing support in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth. We are excited to now offer similar support to the families of these dynamic youth. We provide a judgement free environment wherein adults are encouraged and allowed to maneuver their journey in a way that is best suitable for them. If you have any questions please contact Jamie Roberts at

Date: February 11th, 2017
Location: TBA
Times: Doors Open at 8 am, Starts at 9 am, Ending at 4pm

Everyone interested is invited to submit a proposal to Facilitate a Breakout Session at the Conference. Particular preference will be given to sessions lead by youth, sessions lead by people of color, and sessions focusing on gender justice and/or justice for people of color. If you have something you want to see happen, please feel empowered to make it happen!

The theme of the youth summit this year is Untold Stories, and the summit aims to meet these Enduring Understandings:

1) I experienced an accessible and safe space and community with other LGBTQ+ youth.
2) I am better equipped to be an ally to communities that face oppression.
3) I know how to access resources connected to my physical, mental, and sexual health.
4) I listened to untold stories of our intersecting communities and am challenged to seek out and amplify still untold stories.

Sessions are allocated 75 minutes. If you think half of that time would be more appropriate, let us know and we can work with that as well!

Once your proposal is reviewed, we will reach out to you. If it is accepted, we will ask you to provide a more detailed agenda for your session, a copy of your materials, and learning objectives for your session.
