Direct donations provide the sole source of funding for key IYG initiatives such as:

Our annual Prom, Halloween Dance, and other social activities
These activities give the kids the only social arena they're likely to find where they can interact with their friends in a safe, accepting environment, rather than feel like unwelcome outsiders. One young man says IYG is a big part of his social life. Without it, he is sure he would be isolated and "wouldn't have as many good friendships with cool people, and wouldn't have so much fun stuff to do." There's a reason that the typical thirty percent suicide attempt rate among LGBT youth drops to nearly zero among IYG kids.

HIV/STD Education and Training
Our prevention education works by increasing self-esteem, providing honest information about risk, and engaging the kids in frank discussions about sexual values.

Upkeep of the drop-in center
While it may not seem as powerful as the homeless outreach, facility upkeep is a critical need. We as staff are certainly thankful for the funds that allow us to pay the electricity and phone bills!
