October Staff Spotlight

Congratulations are in order for Danny Lawson (they/them), IYG's Staff Spotlight Award winner for October 2022! They have served as a Project Prism Case Manager since June of this year. After settling into their new home of Indianapolis in 2019, Danny felt the strong desire to seek employment with an organization whose mission and values aligned with their own and that provided an opportunity for them to make an impact on the community. That is when they discovered IYG and found it to be the perfect fit. Danny says their favorite thing about working at IYG is "seeing youth and young adults thrive both in and out of the center, gaining confidence in who they are and what they want to do in this world." They also added, "it is humbling to be given the opportunity to make a positive difference in these individuals’ lives alongside such a fun, supportive, and loving IYG staff." Outside of IYG, Danny is passionate about playing classical piano, their lifelong love. They also find joy in baking and cooking for others, reading, doing crossword puzzles, going on long walks, and learning new things.
