IYG Pen Pal Program.

Want to connect with another LGBTQ+ youth? You can sign up for our LGBTQ+ Pen Pal Program and correspond by either postal mail or email. It's a way to connect with other youth in a safe way.

Here's how it works:

  1. Send in your application (download below) and proof of age.

  2. You will be notified of your pen pal's first name and their contact information and they will be notified of yours.

  3. Then it's up to you to write or email with each other!

All youth in the Pen Pal program must be between the ages of 12 and 20. To make sure this safety guideline is followed, all applicants must send a copy of their school ID, driver's license/state ID card, or birth certificate with their application.

*All personal information is kept strictly confidential. Only your first name and last initial will be provided to your pen pal.

IYG adheres to all guidelines set forth in the Title IX educational amendment as per federal law. For more information on Title IX, please click here.

IYG's financial statements and other organizational finance information is available for public review upon request. Please email the Director of Engagement to request these materials.
