October is LGBTQ+ History Month, a month-long observance of the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer folk, as well as related civil rights movements. This is the time to celebrate the triumphs of LGBTQ+ people and remember the brave pioneers who fought to pave the way for better understanding, love, and acceptance. It is also a time to honor those who lost their lives in the fight along the way.
